No. Not at all. UNO is not powerful enough to contain international terrorism. Firstly, it is controlled by the Security Council, which consists of five permanent members who have the veto power. Secondly, it does not have a Force, on its own. Forces like Peace Keeping Forces have to be raised by contribution from the member countries. UNO cannot really force an issue. It legislate on any matter which will have the sanctity of a law of a sovereign country. It is another forum where the international power equations and dramas are staged, depending on the influence they wield. UNO still continues to be the hand paw of the influential nations like the US and other industrialised nations.

what is UNO pet dog of big fives? the controle board of UNO is in the hands of big fives. They are feeding UNO.. they give military to UNO ..UNO cannot stop terrorism. Terrorism can be stopped only if USA realises and change its stand. It has give up selfish goals.It has to stop pravoking wars.

nobody took seriously when terrorism
spread in small country, like India.
it's only 9/11 event,
and everybody awakes.........
international terrorism is not a deed of one day
India is suffering from 50's.
and still is going on & on........
UNO can & should solve the problem
of terrorism and everybody should
become aware, if we try to solve India's
problem, may be 9/11 event didn't occur.
in the begining they don't have so much
strength
we should give attention to even smaller things
which can become harmful and so now we can just try to convince them .........

What is uno? I assume your talking about the UN.
If the UN was more powerful, then it could easily deal with terrorists problems.
BUT, the UN isn't that powerful, so there's only so much it can do.
I support a strong and powerful UN, with a strong leader, backed by a 5 million man UN army.
