Go to the file properties and hide. Then take the computer and Hide it !!! lol
I think you can try to put it in a folder as hidden and then put a password for the folder. If you use winzip , it will give you a choice to put password to the file/folder.

Hmmm... yes...
The best way to hide something is right out in the open...
check out something called Stegonography...
With Stego you can hide your personal data inside pictures or other files.. or you can encrypt it...
If people think you have a picture of your dog on your computer there is no big deal.. but that same picture can hide a good size text file that they don't know about.

Make sure that view hidden files and folders are not selected. you can double check it by opening your my computer window, click on view, go to folder options, select view tab and put a dot on the option that says "do not show hidden files and folders"... my suggestion is save your file on the desktop, do a right click on your file icon, select properties. on the properties window, put a check mark on the box before hidden. click on apply and then ok. this should make your file hidden...

if u create a file or folder can hidden them differently depending onthe operating system. in window-xp go Tools->option->View(i.e it show with radio button in which there will be two option one
show all the files.
do not show all the files.
click on the option on the do not show all the files
