There was a man that I slowly got to know and got along with.
However, there was a period of time (perhaps, wks. months, yrs?) that we were separated. Anyway, one day I heard he was in danger and I traveled across "many lands" (sounds vague, I know) to find him.
To make a long story short, when I finally reached him, we both stood face to face with deep longing in our eyes, and suddenly I rushed to him and kissed and embraced him tightly. He returned the embrace and we stayed like that for a while.
There was so much emotion that rushed through my body--it was as though I loved him.
What could it mean? (Sorry for the vagueness of the story--it's all I could remember)

I know people aren't supposed to click "answer this question" and then write, "I don't know"; and yet I have to be honest with my response to your question. Maybe what I say will take you in some direction when it comes to figuring out your dream:
It doesn't sound like a dream to me. It sounds like a story. It would seem to me that at least some of this dream must come from reality in order for it to have the "epic element" to it. It sounds more like a daydream about someone you know in real life. It also sounds like you were reenacting some movie you saw.
I'm sorry I can't help you figure it out. The way you tell it it just doesn't come across as a real dream; or else - and this is the point I guess I would want to convey here - you have a very unique type of dreaming style and may want to learn more about who has the type of dreams you have (even if the content of them is different).
I don't mean to be offensive to you at all, but is there any way this was really a day-dream-type of thing you had, and you want people to discuss that? That's how it came across. Again, though, I'm only commenting on that because its such an elaborate kind of dream I thought you may like to know how different it is from the usual dreams of many people.

It's really good to hear that you found yourself. The person you were inbracing was you. I hope that this will help you. It's always nice to know that a person can come to know one's self. To have to travel threw life not knowing who you really are is hard. Don't be scared to love yourself. Once we do love ourselves, we can love other people better, and treat them with good will. The since of danger you felt, and heard was you calling you to wakeup and be a better person to yourself. You could be longing for something or someone, and its coming up as a dream, your dreams are always telling you something.

ok c heres wut i think......................well thats like somthing you get in only far fetched love stories. i am advising you to forget about it. its not as if youll quit your day job to go look for the man of your dreams. although the subconcious is a very powerful thing, if if the guy is (by some twist of fate real) then youll meet him someday
