god, I can't even begin to imagine how awful that would be. Engineers are horrible leaders. I work in an environment that is very engineering heavy. Was a time when the best engineer in the area was put in charge. Didn't take long to realize what a bad idea that was. Now, leaders are interviewed for the position and it works out much better.

Less overall stupidity, but engineers are always overconfident. I'd prefer a government of quality assurance testers. They're trained to be skeptical and believe nothing they can't prove. Can you imagine a government where laws weren't made unless you could prove they actually had the desired effect? We'd all be living in paradise by now.
