Because of all the chemicals they have to mix together in the right proportions. Cleaning solutions are expensive for the same reason. I just bought a bottle fo Tide for $22. So much for my pocket change.

You get what you pay for. I used to buy no name dishwashing detergent & was going through buckets of the stuff. I discovered Dawn & a bottle lasted forever. I am willing to pay whatever is necessary Tide Simple Pleasures, though.

Simply for the companies to make large profits. Today I went to a bargain store and paid $2.49 for a jug of detergent. The name brand same size was $7.49. It will be interesting to see how the no-name performs. Great comment!!

Sucks huh? I quit buying Tide and now use Purex. It's not as fancy as the Tide but it gets the job done.

believe it or not but it has petroleum by products in it and do the math, gas goes up and so doesn't everything associated with petroleum.
