It seems to drive the dogs NUTS for at least 7 or 8 houses in each direction.

It's funny to me!
I live out in the country and my neighbors have this
big rooster. Me and my family can't even turn on
the porchlight at night without that retarded rooster
thinking morning's come. It crows loud enough to
wake the dead!

Well...it's my experience that dog whistles do not work, so you're likely outside blowing for nothing. They'd bark if you went outside at 3 a.m. in your skivvies--try that. BTW, do you have to set an alarm to get up at 3 a.m. and go outside and do this? I own a dog kennel with over 80 adult dogs, and frankly, they can bark and howl all night long without waking me up. I've grown a deaf ear to the noise.

Oh cowie if i could only answer this question the way i really want to....but at the moment i am walking a fine line between staying and going.....just the thought of blowing "a Whistle" got my mind in all the wrong places.....

Yes, that is VERY wrong. It hurts their ears and is unbearable for them. I live in a neighborhood filled with dogs also, if someone did that and I caught them doing that at 3am, I would get up, and go slap the **** out of you. You're disrespecting the neighbors who are trying to sleep (remember what goes around, comes around) and being really mean to the dogs, stupid.

YES IT'S WRONG! you are hurting their ears you need to quit. How would you like someone doing that to you. Just like when the ambulances and fire trucks pass the noise is unbearable because of the level of it it is very painful thats why they get aggitated
