My first thought would be no, your divorced. Its like going back to being single, so like saying your a widow if your boyfriend died (not even ex) .. and the answer is no.
However i have met some women who would call themselves widow if their BF died

but the simple answer to your question is, Do YOU want to be called a widow ... ?
(just remember death is a hard thing to deal with, be strong)

The word is widow, not window, and technically a woman is only a widow if her husband dies while they are still married. What you have described would be considered a divorced woman.

Nope.....you were divorced first. Then he died. Now, if you had kille, er I mean if he had died while in the process of being divorced...then yes you could be called a widow.
But technically, since the divorce happened BEFORE the death. You shall be call a divorcee with a dead ex-husband.

UH....why would you want to be called a widow anyway???

No, if you're divorced you are no longer married. You can't be the widow of a man you're not married to.

My opinion

I do not think so...
You are divorced
and not a widow.

Having separated, why do u want to known as his widow?

It seems u want to put obstacles in the distribution of his property to his legal heirs.

I really don't think so. The term 'widow' is used to show that you've lost a husband to death...Which he was no longer your husband.

I am sorry to hear he died.
