Ok how do you mean it depends on how much you gained the average woman gaining 30 pounds takes at least 1 year to get completely back to normal with little excersice. So if you want to get there faster watch your diet and excerisce.

In my case, three months to normal, that's with both births. it is also a common saying that it takes as long to work it off as it does to put it on.
I had this weird idea though that the contractions you feel after birth were important for your stomach to go back to its normal shape, the doctor offered me some high dosage Advil I didn't take it, I also didn't want my baby to have it through breast milk, but anyway Advil is a muscle relaxant, so maybe taking it prolongs your body from returning to shape. I have been told that I have an unusual thresh hold for pain, Seeing the way most people I know whine about pain I believe it.
Honestly though don't worry about your weight your a mother enjoy this role, eat well, breastfeed, stay active, chase your baby around and you will be fit.

After my first and second I was normal the next day and back into my pre pregnancy clothes, I loved that, they were both boys with my third(girl) it's almost three years later and I haven't lost a single pound and I have tried lots of different things to loose it. But personally I look and feel bet being a few pounds bigger. I am not BIG but now the right size for my height. All pregnancies are different.

It depends on how big your stomach got. If you gained a normal amount of about 20 to 30 pounds, it should be only a couple months by exercising and eating the right food.

I could wear my pre-pregnancy clothes a couple of days after I gave birth - my son was born 6 weeks ago and it's gone down a lot due to breastfeeding, I still have the excess skin but hopefully it will tone up soon! :)

It'll never be exactly as it was due to the stretching of the skin and muscle wall.
