I know this is in terms of work in Middle east countries,When a worker leave a job then he gets a labour ban which means that for 6 months from the date of the ban the person cannot get a employment visa, before the rule was that the ban gets emigration ban also which means that once the person leaves the job then he has to leave the UAE for six months or 1 yr depending on the validity of the ban & he cannot enter UAE at all for any reason.
Now if u leavethe job , there is labour ban but no immigration ban, This is the latest information but thinks may b different from case to case

An emigration ban would have to do with people moving around within the country and a labor ban would have to do with people working.
