Just get a Nook Color. There really is no need for an e-reader that has a touch screen to have a glowlight because the screen already glows, like a computer screen or a cellphone screen. The Nook Color is a great e-reader, and I've been really satisfied with it. I believe that it doesn't really matter much which e-reader you get (although I would recommend a Nook over a Kindle, because Amazon is evil). If you're concerned about things like HD and things like that, then you should probably get a tablet instead of an e-reader. You don't need HD to see words on a screen. But yeah, definitely get either the Nook Color or the Nook Simple (which I have heard nice things about).

Companies pay for referrals that these services "make" you sign up for in order to get the free stuff. Generally it works as a rebate scheme. You sign up for services, you only get the merchandise after the companies confirm they got you on their service
