The root cause of the problem is that Pakistan somehow thinks Kashmir is their territory..Dnt they remember that Pakistan was created out of India way back in 1947? Just because they want Kashmir to be called a part of Pakistan, there is a 'jehad' (holy war) in the entire world. 9/11 was also a manifestation of the same. Everywhere in the world, proponents of Islam are creating terror, whereas there are sensible people in the religion too. Why are a few bringing bad name to the community?
Pakistan promises every now and then to stop military activity across the Indo-Pak border in Kashmir- it never does. At the same time, India is also too tolerant i guess. They are capable of launching offensives against Pakistan, but they dnt. They are very lenient towards Pakistan, i think. Given an offer to take Kashmir along with all Muslims living in India- will Pakistan accept it? I'm sure it won't..
The UN and other bodies talk abt not letting Pakistan develop nuclear power etc. I think the country should be ex-communicated. Stop all exports to it, snap all relations..maybe it helps somehow. But, there again lies the risk of some terrorist activities taking people's lives anywhere in the world, because these terrorist networks have their roots deeply dug. So, i guess, its a matter of trade offs, more than anything else. and, what the ideal trade-off would be is again an issue to ponder over. No one really visualizes this issue to settle in the near future..god help both sides..

Partly the British who showed no sensitivity in tackling the issue and who were in a great hurry to leave the country, after stoking the communual embers, once they decided to quit India. And partly the Congress and the Muslim League leaders who agreed to partition the country on communual lines. The Congress at least must have heeded Gandhi, at least in a practical measure, if not in idealistic manner like giving the reins of the government to the Muslim League. Partition is a great blunder. However, there is no crying over the spilt milk now. Further partitioning Kashimir is not going to solve the problem. What about the Muslim population who are more in number than the Muslims in Pakistan, who are to be looked upon with the need of suspicion ever hanging on them? Enough bad blood has been injected in the relations between the Muslims and the Hindus. Pakistan at some stage needs to realise the need for leave the things as they are and allow the time to heal the wounds.

When India became free from the British rule.
Muslims want their own land and Gandhiji was against it, and wants all to live together happily .
but some politicians were not ready and finally
India gave some land & money and permitted for new country . at that time, so many muslims were in India and also hindus in Pakistan .
some of them migrated and hindus mostly came back to India.

but still they are not satisfied and ask for Kashmir
which is portrayed as ' Heaven of Earth' .
hindus were in majority , in Kashmir, but in 50-60 yrs. they killed some of them and rest of them just ran away and now the condition is muslims are in majority.

India is not ready to give Kashmir and Pakistan wants.......
I am Indian & Hindu so I should not say, who is wrong ? but somehow, i think, now it's enough
secular people can solve this problem.

we can also think on
I & D's reform 's viewpoint
and should not fight........
Thanks, dear.

You should not raise such a delicate matter in this forum, where people don't know about anything and start giving foolish answers, only to get two points. If you have studied History then you must be aware of the facts and if you are convinced then there is no need to gather support.

The religion is the basis for all the problems. Only the religious leaders of both the sides should meet and can resolve this problem. This is not a political probelm and the politicians do not understand this.

At root is the problem the rest of the world is beginning to discover. it is diffiucult ot co-exist with Islam. It is not a tolerant religion. And if they are not in control they feel they are being oppressed.

This led to the split of the former colony into Indian and Pakistan. There are a number of reasons for their continuing animonisty. Not all can be blamed on Pakistan. People can be petty and mean on all sides. But, by and large--as history is replete with, Islamic states tend to be aggresseive and troublesome--and as a generalization that is true here as well.

Basically, where was the Pakistan ? It is the creation of India only.

Pakistan cann't even look after their own (presently) population properly. They call their fellow muslims "muhajir", so far. and not giving any rights.

Infect, 'Kashmir problem ' is merely the foolishness of Indian leaders, since beginning to now.

Is there any body, to bother about the hard ships of kashmiris?
Plz. allow them to live peace fully.
