Not so much directed at a person... more so about having to start over.

Let it go and focus on the positive. You are not hurting the other person by being angry; you are only ruining your own life by making yourself unhappy & unable to enjoy the moment.

I don't know what can be done other than forgive and hope time helps you to forget, because six of my close friends have died, I wrecked my car by hitting a deer, broke up with my boyfriend and got laid off from work all in the last six months. I'm feeling bitter too and a bit depressed. If that doesn't make you feel better just knowing someone else is suffering and bitter, at least it gives you company. I hope you find PEACE.

I assume you are bitter over an ex. We all feel that way at the end of a relationship (unless it was a good breakup, which hardly ANY are). I find meditation is a good tool. You know all those negative thoughts and feelings you are having? Well, focus it all on one object for a while. Like something that person left behind. Then, (this may sound crazy), bury the object in the ground. Along with it, bury all of those negative thoughts & feelings. Then concentrate on moving on. As they say in the movie "Analyze This", ~"Forget about it."

Yes, in many ways I do. I've been married for 26 years and after empty nest we don't have much of a marriage. But the kids even though college age would be very disappointed if I left him now. I try to make my own happiness as much as I can. I don't want to be a unhappy person so I turn my feelings and thoughts into other things. If you are breaking up from a long time marriage I would like to know what happens to everyone. Because someday I may just need to separate just to get him to notice.

When I feel bitter about someone or something, I go for a run to clear my head. Afterall, there's a saying that says "He who angers u conquers u" so why should I let someone or something bring me down when I have as much of a choice to make myself happy?

Sometimes but I usually dont know what to do so I sleep or write in a journal my feelings towards that person or people and it helps to feel like you are talking with them when you arent.

Be happy :). What's the point in being bitter? It doesn't help anything and it isn't fun. So why?
