the reason they will not believe is because they are ignorant, and stupid. this is all related to the things they were taught, by parents,clergy. do you believe they would tell you about the spirit world. they were at that time preaching hell and damnation. today these same people excpect you to believe them if something supernatural were happening to them. but do they believe you?

Why do people believe in the above?
some think they have PSI experiences...but most of them can be debunked... the reason so many people think psychics are fake is that most of them ARE fake...I know, I have been to many alledged 'readers' ect and NONE of them got it right about me...
If the psychics were true I would have moved many times and traveled and I would also be a clarvoiant channeling the wisdom from beyond...Oh and I forgot, I should have inherited allot of money by now and I have not.... I once believed but after a few years of study I saw the wishful thinking and the shallowness and nonsense that pervades this line of thinking.
Most of the so called "good" readers are just doing what is called PT Barnum reads...of common things that seem personal.

Most people don't believe in what they can't see or were raised not to believe in. It's next to impossible or completely impossible to change their minds.
As for that nice list up there, I believe in all of it. I like to keep an open mind and take everything with a grain of salt. Sometimes, the only thing you can do is just accept that not everyone believes in what you believe in or share your viewpoint on other things you may both believe in. Agree to disagree and call it a day.

I think they are afraid of believing those things are true, and hope they wont have to face anything like that, so they just dismiss it. I have more of a problem in NOT believing them. I want to know how the world really is, so I can adjust and have some control over my life. Not hide my head in the sand. These things dont have to affect me personaly, for them to be real. Maybe they dont affect me, because I know they are there. And I can be powerful against, (or with) them.

I believe in wanna be wiyches and wizards, I believe in real aliens and ghosts (There are millions of other galaxies, why would we be the only inteligent life in the entire universe, I'm not saying they're the green little sci-fi dudes from the movies, they could be people just like us. And I have seen ghosts countless times). I dont know if I believe in magic, its possible I guess. I do believe in phycics, but not mystics.

People have a right to believe in anything they want or not to believe.
What a dreary world if we can't believe in something.
I've read a lot about ghosts and there has to be something to it ... because for one thing I've experienced all kinds of strange behavior in my own house.

OK i know there is more to the world than sience and mathmatics because there has to be mare than sience keeping this world in tact but i CHOOSE to be a little sceptic while keeping an opened mind

It is called logic. Science allows humans to shake off ignorance and superstition. Science and philosophy have allowed us to overcome disease, poverty, starvation and fear. Democracy and social science have given us individual freedom and freedom from tyranny and opression. Sadly there is never any shortage of boneheads who would like to drag us back to the dark ages.

yup. I do. and people choose not to believe because they're afraid of what they don't know. Why do you think so many people are afraid of the dark? Because they don't know what could be lurking behind every corner.

Most people live their lives with a great deal of fear and what they fear most is the unknown and that which they don't understand so what you have listed tends to make people uncomfortable.
