They must not be happening because all schools are "gun-free zones." If you were motivated to do something like this, where would you go? Certainly not a police station, gun show, or NRA convention. Pick a place where firearms are prohibited so you can be pretty sure no one will be shooting back until the police show up in about half an hour. Either arm the teachers or provide armed security guards.

we never know..there are so many possible answers..some are just mentally challenged and they can't control themselves from doing such things..some wanted revenge because that school had done something bad to them during their time, or some just do it for fun..to get attention. but either way, i think it's bad. these are innocent kids, they don't even think about things before they do them. if they hate their lives for what they've become, why not kill themselves?? why include other people in your miserable lives! gosh..it just gets annoying when people shoot other people because they hate their lives. don't you just hate it?

I believe they happen because of all the media coverage. Zitty teenagers would rather be remembered going out in a blaze of glory. Its the new suicide. Whos gonna remember if you just take your life the old way?

honestly i think it comes down to people judiging other before they know them. so kids tease others. and its not so bad at first but everyday it wears on you to the point where you ask them to stop. but they don't so some people just snap
