I have a dress that has a fitted bodice and flared skirt that comes to mid-thigh. Could I wear it over jeans? Or over leggings or something?

The dresses and skirts over jeans things is pretty much out, but you could definitely wear it over leggings, preferrably longer ones or stirrups. Dresses and skirts over leggings look really cute paired with flats or ankle boots, which are really hot right now. American Apparel has some really cute leggings, including cable-knit ones which will be perfect for when it starts getting colder! (It's already snowing here though, so too late for me!)

I guess so, since I still seen it in magazines. But most prefer tights, and I think it's okay over black skinny jeans. and boots. Dresses over jeans, yeah for hobo or hippy (same thing). Unless ur a punk, I say u can. Also, if it's summer maybe, don't some people wear mostly like empire waist dresses over jeans? Look it up in Google!

you could deffinitely do that over jeans!! depending on the color try to do a light or a dark wash that goes with the shirt color, and make sure they are fitted. Because your skirt is only mid-thigh that is why you can wear it over jeans, when it gets to long and dress-like, then you should probably not do it over pants

If you want to be preppy, wear them over leggings. Not my personal choice. I saw a girl wearing what you're describing over jeans, and she looked sooo cute. Plus, you didn't see a clone of her walking by every five minutes (EVERYBODY wears mini skirts and tights X-| ) But if you want to wear what everyone else wears, that's completely up to you :) There's nothing wrong with it.

Leggings or tights. I don't think any skirt over jeans were in. Where do you live? Still in the 80's?

WELL, NOW IT'S MINIDRESS OVER LEGGINGS. REMEMBER THOSE SKIN TIGHT THINGS FROM THE 80'S? YES. THEM. I PERSONALLY LOVE THE LOOK. TRY THROWING A LONGER, CRISP WHITE SHIRT OVER THEM TOO. ALL CELEBS R DOING THE "LEGGING" THING. I AM TOO. THEY ROCK!

well i don't know about jeans, unless you're talking about skinny pants. But, girls are stilling wearing leggins under minis.
