I, for the life of me, can't believe great shows like Arrested Development, Dark Angel, and Joan of Arcadia, just to name a few, were canceld so quickly. They were all very well scripted, and boasted talented casts. I was mad as heck when these shows got yanked, especially since they disappeared with unresolved storylines. Did anybody else enjoy any of the shows I mentioned and can you tell me what perhaps their downfalls were? Any other shows that you feel got shafted by greedy, impatient network execs or simply not given a chance by the viewing audience.

Crusade -- the follow-on series to Babylon 5 was cut off too soon. I really wanted to see what the 5 year story line would have been for that series in its entirety.

I've never seen AD, but DA season 1 was great, but it went way downhill in season2. JoA was a decent show, but I didn't connect with it very much and neither did others, and the problem probably because the subject matter is too old for the young viewers and too young (of a cast and humor) for the old people.
Another show I'm still hoping for a comeback is Firefly. I don't have Sci-fi channel so I didn't catch it when it was aired. The Serenity movie was so-so, enough to get me to buy the TV Series on DVD, and the series is way better than the movie or any of the Star Trek seasons. BSG is next on my DVD wishlist.

I cringe every day over the cancellation of Arrested Development. I never got attached to the other shows, but AD still stays as the best sitcom ever created.
But, all hope is not lost, there are still tons of great shows on TV. Here's a list of what you can watch in place of those shows:
Battlestar Galactica (watch this show! It is seriously the best thing on TV!!!)
Veronica Mars
Heroes
The Office
My Name Is Earl

I did like "Joan Of Arcadia". I don't think we even got a full season of it here in Australia. I also loved "Roswell" which got cut after only 3 seasons and there was a Canadian show called "Higher Ground" which was quite good, too. I love a Brittish show called "HEX" but that, too, only lasted 2 seasons!I'm sure there are many more.
The good new is that even though "7th Heaven" was cut, they decided to bring it back again!

Arrested Development. What the heck happened? It was the best show on TV. And everyone is always talking about it-so why was no one watching? It was probably poorly advertised or got a bad time slot. So sad.

Fox had 2 shows, one being John Doe...I loved that show...the guy who couldn't remember anything about his life, but knew everything. That was a good show.
The other one, Fast Lane...Bill Bellamy was in it, about 2 undercover cops who have very fast lives. Those were good ones, but got cancelled...boo hooo.
These both were very unresolved too, especially John Doe, right after it was getting really good. How annoying.

Fox axed "Firefly" waaaay too soon. The show has done very well selling as a boxed set,and even spawned a major motion picture ("Serenity") that also did well.
Fox just never gave it's "cowboys in space" show a chance....
