Rather than surrendering to the prevailing current, I would try swimming upstream, for some bridges ARE difficult to mend, while it is not always desirable to repair others.

just go down the river and can't be a salmon jumping upstream because no one wants to spawn with me...bridges burned and have made plans to re-build only to get the plans ripped out of my hands, banged over the head and reminded to live and let live...which created the burned bridges in the first place.

I don't think I have been a bridge burner, but I have had people burn their bridge to me, and I as far as I'm concerned they can just keep floating. Hell, they can even flip right over the falls to their rocky demise, for all I care. It takes a lot for me to cut someone completely out of my life, and continue to ignore them, but I won't ever give that person the chance to rebuild anything.

bridges are mostly hard to rebuild because you're working on burnt ground. but i think the two points can meet again if both sides work to meet in the middle.

Did it all the time. But the bridges to goodness, that you never burn. For me if I have to blow bridges to pain of any sorts, I do not wait around. Blow those bridges of stupidity, pain, and headaches. Don't liasten to voices in your head or your heart, but listen to the goodness in your head. Blow those bad bridges, and maintain that bridges to good only.

sometimes up the river you realize you never wanted to cross in the first place.
don't focus so much on a bridge as much as everythinge else around you....
