There are a variety of software applications that will put your iPod under your control and allow you to transfer files freely. I have a Mac, so I use iPod Rip or iPod Access. They both work very well.

Other than that route, burning music to a removable media is the best solution.

It won't hurt your friend's songs but it will delete your songs off of your iPod and get hurs. Then later when you plug your into your computer it will ask the same. I have a Mac so I got iPodRip from downloads.com

you can have hers on yours just plug it in and it will sync but when you plug yours ion it may erase the song and put your orignal library back on it unless you open itunes independenly then unselect all you songs ( if you need to just charge it)then no songs from your libbrary will be on it just what you already have

You can also just burn the songs on a CD and load them in your library.

if you burn a cd of songs from her computer and download them onto your computer you can get those songs it is the only way
get blank cd's at any electronics store get the ones that say CD-R not CD-RW those tend to skip a lot
