my little 14 yr old stays on the phone unless the batt. goes dead . how can i make it matter to her . i have caller id and waiting . its anoying .

pick up the other phone and embarrass her. & tell her it WILL happen again, unless she is willing to compromise with your rules.

pls warn her first, or its just crule LOL

lol good luck! at that age that is all I did. My father got me and my brother our own phone line for our 14th and 16th b-day. it was the cheapest line no call waiting etc. but it did the trick and stoped tying up the phone. she'll get over it in 3-4 years. it's a phase.

Give her only certain time limits that she may be on the phone. She may pick the time of day. But you desinate the length of time. Use your parental disgression and authority. I expect she has chores and responsibilities that she should be tending to, as well.
