As a soloist who sings at funerals I'd say the most frequently requested piece is the Ave Maria and it often touches people in a very special way.

"To where you are" is a beautiful song by Josh Groban. (It's often used for funerals of loved ones.) As a soprano it's in a bad key for me...

I've done "You Raise me Up" which is also quite lovely and very poignant. I only WISH I could sing more Josh Groban stuff.

Sorry for your loss.
Take care.

First of all, my condolonces. And I don't know many of the others, but "You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban is amazing, and "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" from Phantom of the Opera is a fitting song for a funeral(it's not by Michael Crawford, but Michael Crawford was in phantom)
