My husband left me about 6 months ago for one of his co-workers. He gave up custody of his son. But when I tell him that I am going to sell off some of the stereo equipment we have he says "i can't believe you would do that to me". Are you kidding me??

Since he left you and his son and he gave up custody, you really don't have to talk to him about anything. You do what you want and what's in the best interest of your child and forget about him. Tell him to have his new chick buy him some new stereo equipment and they can both go to Hell. He's a LOSER!!!!!!!!! and your better off without him.

Sell it, your husband left you already, he even gave up cotudy of your son. He sounds like he's materialistic and egotistical who only cares about himself. You should start thinking about how to survive and how to provide the best for your son and if selling that stereo is what is best for you and your son then do it. You gotta think for your own now. Be strong... sell the stereo so long as it doesnt pose any legal problems with your divorce...

Be sure and get a receipt for what you sell. Make sure none of the receipts are for more than $5.00. and have it state that the equipment was not working. This way he can't even fight for half of what you get other than $2.50. It's your word against his on whether or not the equipment was working. Make sure the receipt is in someone else's name so he can't trace the buyer. I'm sorry for you and your son. There are still a few of us good guys out there. Be patient and settle for no less than you and your son deserve.

Did he legally give up custody? Or just walk out and not look back? Are you legally divorced? If he didn't legally give up custody then he can waltz back into your son's life whenever he feels like it. Seems like he wants control of what you still do. Don't tell him, and deny everything.

No This is NOT a male thing...no more than is it a Women thing to leave her husband...me....with a 18 month old girl and a 5 year old boy to go "find herself"...along with a 18 year old stock boy...what ever.....and then 15 years later try and tell me that SHE will decide what SHE want to do with my now 17 year old baby girl. Sorry I am rambling.....anyways NO its not a male thing.

The guy is a scum... he should have question himself what he had done to you. If I were you I would take a baseball bat and destroy his
stereo system. Tape it and have him watch it. Unless you need the money then sell it.
