I break things up into TINY managable pieces. I just need to get through THIS day, I don't need to worry about tomorrow. Do my best and then it is out of my hands. I can't turn back the clock, I can only try to do better tomorrow.

I do "Mission101" so I have my goals set up and I can see them, as long as I'm working towards them, getting things done here and there...things feel ok. Do a little a day and I can look at my list and clearly see that I've made a good effort for that day.

Hang in there! I'm sure things will be ok. Everyone has hard times, we just have to get ride out the storms.

I have no idea what you're talking about giving up on. If it's life in general, all you need to tell yourself is, get professional help. If you're despondent, you're not gonna come across many affirmations to get yourself back in the game.

Now, if we're talking about a project, a career, even a partnership like marriage, I personally have the opposite problem. I don't know when to quit. I just happen to have one of those obsessive personalities that drive me to beat my brains out when it's way past hope. And, I tell you all that to say to you, occasionally, there comes a time to sit down and evaluate what your doing, or trying to do, and very objectively decide whether going back at it hammer and tongs is really worth it, or is it time to put it down and chalk it up to experience, to go on to something else.

If any of that helps, terrific. If not, the intentions were good. Best of luck to you.

I tell myself "if he can do it, I can do it"! I pride myself on the fact that no one is better than I. (Nor am I saying that I am better than anyone else). Remind yourself that you are worthy of that statement. You are human, if I can do it, so can you. It is difficult at times, but perservence is the key. And as Winnie the Pooh says it, try, try, again. And yes, as Dory said it, "Just keep swimming". If you give up, you are admitting to yourself that there are some things you just can't do. I believe anything is possible out of anyone. The end result is already there, you just have to cut away all the excess!

Some times I do give up and quit fighting it. I call it a day, and do something fun. Then I agree to myself that I will continue tomorrow morning. Hopefully, I will feel more rested and relaxed and can see the answers more clearly. If this doesn't work, I will seek help, and get some input as to why things are going this way for me. Best of luck to you. Tie a knot in the end of the rope and hang on!!

Everything changes so fast. What is making you down now will be different tomorrow. You have to focus on you. Think about the good things you have done in your life. Pull from that what might be possiable for you to grow on. Life moves on. For me it has been," that when one door shut, a window opens up somewhere to let the light in on my dream to be something I never thought would be possiable". Motivate your self to see yourself as a really great person. Sometimes doing something good for enother person helps us get out of ourselves. aafrienddonnaj@yahoo.com

I always remember the fish in Dory in the movie NEMO as they were swimming down to the abyss and all she kept singing was ... "Just keep swimming..." Also I just try to live one day at a time and remind myself that this to shall come to pass... Most of all I pray in times of trial and tribulation, needing a higher force, a higher strength to get me through what I am going through...

sometimes "giving up" can be a good thing and cause change for the better. Perople say in some bad relstionships for fear of change. Change is good, it makes us learn. It makes us human

It depends on what it is. Take a brief break, remind yourself of your goal, and reward the EFFORT not the outcome.

Wow, it would suck if the next step was indeed the last. Keep moving.
