I'll give sucker players credit for all the running; but soccer is for the folks who can't or are afraid to play real football(not sucker).

Wow, you sure got a lot of angry answers to an honest question. As a "yank", I really wouldn't care either way, I love football, always will. I say bring it on, hell, put a couple european teams in the nfl, it would make for a great competition. I wouldn't want it to get quite as popular as "soccer" however because "soccer" fans, in some cases, are crazy idiots. Starting riots over lost games would ruin the sport, and I would hate to see any players get murdered for missing a field goal.

Football is already wildly popular in the US. It has surpassed baseball as our national sport. Europe and the rest of the world can have their soccer. Soccer will never be more than a minor sport here in the US.

It wont be as popular but then again most things "Americanized" arent nearly as popular as anything developed outside of the US. But honestly, I could really care less b/c I think soccer is effin stupid and I'd much rather watch football. So would most everyone in America, who is American of course.

Thank you for your question,
I don't think that it is likely to happen for several reasons. Soccer is too entrenched in the rest of the world and American/Canadian football is too well entrenched in North America.
I think that American sports fans are fairly insular because the US is big enough to allow that. Besides, it is one of the few team sports that the US is best in the world at so they wouldn't want teams from the rest of the world competing in it. :>)

No thanks soccer boy!!!!! The last thing the NFL needs to do is sell spots on the jerseys for Pepsi, Bud, etc. It doesn't need any actors (FAKING injuries) or fans who are more idiotic than Philly's!
