"than" is used then you're comparing things: 8 is greater than 5, Bob has more apples than Jane
"then" is a transition: I went to American Eagle to buy a coat, then I went home // he called me and then we discussed our relationship.

I would rather go to the supermarket, than the movie.
I will see my brother first, then my sister.
Other than that, I can find no mistakes.
The guy was running, then he tripped over his own shoestrings.
First you drink your milk, then you get dessert.
Do you prefer the larger car, rather than the small one ?
I hope that helps. If not, well, then it's all over. Good Luck ! :)

"Then" is used to connect different actions.
Example: Ask a question, then wait for answers.
"Than" is used to compare two things.
Example: Our Moon is smaller than Earth.
That's the "then" and "than." There are also Den (a place), Dan (a name), and Damn (cursing) and Dam (a structure to hold water).
