There were thousands of military famalies who did NOT betray their loved one's sacrifice and bash their country. They supported the military's mission then as they do now. So why all the fixation on one loony biotch?

Sheehan family members have blasted Cindy, claiming she's trying to promote her personal agenda "at the expense of her son's good name and reputation."

After Sheehan met with Bush in 2004 she told a newspaper "I now know he's sincere about wanting freedom for the Iraqis. I know he's sorry and feels some pain for our loss. And I know he's a man of faith."

because she is a tool of the left and was paraded in front of the cameras of the far-left media. Check the facts, most network news have an extreme left-wing bias. she was used and she loved the attention. She also is buddy buddy with Chavez, and so is Danny Glover, I will never watch Lethal weapon again or and other film that trader is in. Hay democraps your hate radio Air America filed bankrupt today. told you so told you so.... so where is your voice, where is the demand for you point of view, it doesn't exist. your all very misguided and hateful.

Sheehan had a right to be angry and a right to protest. It's a right guaranteed by our constitution. It still is a free country no matter what the current administration thinks. Sheehan has been out of the limelight for several months -- it seems to be you who has the obsession.
Speaking of betraying the trust of the people who make the ultimate sacrifice for their country. In the Viet Nam war, the news told us how many people lost their lives and showed the caskets as they were brought off the plane in an effort to pay tribute to them. Why don't they do this anymore? Maybe it's so we don't know how many people are dying as a result of this ill-planned action.
Once again, if you disagree with what our government is doing you have a right to say so. That is what free speech is all about. If you don't like it -- move to a country that doesn't have a Bill of Rights.

Sheehan gets the press because she represents millions of Americans who do not accept Bush's justification for the war. She wants to know why this war was important enough that her son had to die for it. She is willing and determined to put the question to the war's chief architect, George Bush. And until she gets an answer that she can accept and understand, she will never be able to let go her grief.
I don't think she ever wanted to be a celebrity. I think she just wanted an answer to her question. I think if Bush had taken 10 minutes out of one of his Crawford vacations to talk to her, she might have been satisfied and left, and none of us would have ever known her name.
Why didn't Bush answer her question? In my opinion, he did not answer it because he has no answer to give. There was nothing going on in Iraq at the time of the invasion that was worth one drop of American blood. I think even Bush knows that now, but he cannot back down without admitting he was wrong. And he cannot admit that he was wrong without taking responsibility for Sheehan's son and every other son or daughter, husband or wife, mother or father who died there. Rather than take that responsibility, he'll keep wasting lives on a pointless attempt to solve the unsolvable.

Neddie lets her so far left wing agenda rule the **** that comes out of her mouth, it's really awful. Yes, it is true, she is a grieving mother who lost her son... but as stated above there are thousands of military families going through the same thing she has. It is her choice to disagree with the war, but Neddie, have you realized that the rest of her family is AGAINST what she is standing for? using her own son's name in vain to rule her outspoken agenda? you REFUSE to see that though don't you? You disgust me. I don't care if people disagree, that is OKAY... but look at the FACTS. How many mothers and fathers do you think disagreed with her ??? you think she is hurting? Think about those families that have to listen to the bullshit that comes from her mouth about the soldiers fighting over there!!! She can protest the war, but she should really think about what she says. I feel sad for her that she lost her son, but that gives her no right to spit in the open wounds of other families.
EDIT ~ Did Chedron miss your link? Do people like that not realize that they did speak... and she DID say that about Bush? What then happened?
WHY the thumbs down? Honestly, you guys are ******* ridiculous. I have the most honest answer on here, no matter what side you are on

Did you guys hear she is claiming that she was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize? Odd though, the Nobel panel does not disclose the names of nominees so there is no way to prove or disprove it.
I agree with others who say she sure does seem to enjoy all of this attention.
For those of you who said she only wants to talk to Bush....she DID talk to Bush after her son died. I guess she didn't know that she is so against this war until after their meeting. Her son is probably spinning in his grave. From what I understand her whole family has disowned her....I wonder why.

Because there are also many families -- military and non-military -- who are angry at the Bush Administration and question the justification for war in Iraq. You can frame it as a "betrayal" though arguably our troops are fighting for our very right to dissent. There are growing numbers of troops going AWOL, applying for conscientious objector status, and only recently are military branches meeting recruitment goals once more after lowering aptitude standards and sweetening initiatives and benefits for enlisting.
I think Sheehan has a distinct agenda, but I think she also loved her son and wanted more answers as to his death than the Pentagon has been willing to share. There have been similar complaints from other grieving families of killed personnel.

What personal gain does she get?
She feels the war was not justified, and she lost her son to it. She has every right to protest. In fact, more of us should be joining her.
Unless you served, or lost a son/daughter, you may want to reconsider your opinions.
Remember the adage...walk a mile in someone's shoes...

Because the liberal media have nothing better to do than try to tear down the country. Never will you hear them say anything positive about anything. The same with liberals in general. If they spent as much time on the enemy as they do criticizing this country, the war would have been over already.

Becasue she did what others did not, maybe some people wanted to stand up to but she did. She doesn't have to support the mission. She was out of line though.
