Anti-war is not an acceptable answer - unless accompanied by an explanation of how to advance peace in the Middle East in the next 30 years.

Check out the Democratic Party agenda on their website:

http://www.democrats.org/agenda.html

Two points:
1) No matter how deep you dig, there are promises with almost no plan.
2) Count the number of references to Bush and Republicans, versus the number of actionable plans.

Folks, we are in for dark times if the party of no ideas wins during wartime because of one disgusting Congressman's behavior.

Why am I wrong?

Show me a plan, please. This country needs a debate of real, solid ideas.

From what I can see, it's accuse the "red states" of being either inbred hicks or trailer-park trash.

And then accuse Republicans of being divisive.

....

First off... Republicans clearly have no clue on how to do ANYTHING NEAR bring peace in the Middle East in the next 30 years... so if that's your criteria... your WAY out of luck with both parties and you may as well give up... they can't even handle one country in the middle east...

I think dems want to set a date for a pullout in Iraq and work on goals and priorities for that pullout...work with the generals to set obtainable goals... and deadlines are always movable...

but also work on health care initiatives and education initiatives to help reduce the poverty levels in the U.S... there are several different ideas in this though... and it really depends on which presidential cadidate and congressmen win on which direction the party will probably go... some discuss social healthcare... others discuss more educational grants and more help to universities to pull back down tuition costs to students that have skyrocketed... but there are many others...

I also would put a lot more pressure on Pakistan with the al-queda situation... since they don't seem to be able to handle it on thier own...

EDIT:
the simple fact is... we've been in dark times...

we have a government that was almost totally elected on promises that they wouldn't diddle interns... they had no plan... and what few promises they made, most were not kept, with the exception of cutting taxes... Bush learned from dad not to make a promise about that and not hold it up...

the majority of the problems then are still problems now with little legislative action taken to fix any of the problems...

we live in an age of sling and fling politics... better to talk about your opponents sexual problems than your plan... mainly because you don't have one... and the problem fully permiates both sides...

a few individual candidates do have some plans... but they seem few and far between...

Actually go after Bin Laden, Bush already said "I don't care about Bin Laden, I don't think about him".

Slow transfer of troops from Iraq to the Afghan - Pakistan borders to fight Al-Qaeda.

Condemn Israel if they deserve it.

Over site of Bush's police state policy aka george orwells 1984 (Bush needs to spend less time spying on American people and more on Al-Qaeda)

Lower taxes for Middle class workers, increase for corporations who out source jobs.

Support unions
