According to the bible they go to hell. I have study many different religions. All of them believe they are the right one. Finally I returned back to Christianity and I know that he is real. He is really out there waiting for you, because he loves us all. However if you do not seek him he cannot save you. See my profile to send me a note if you need further help.

The soul can't exist without a living body, just like the light from a lamp can't continue to shine after you turn it out. That's true for everyone, not just atheists.

Soul? What makes you so sure that we even have souls? I believe that mine will be dissipated into the nature of the universe but I'm not an atheist.

I read in Jeremiah that the soul is like a little bubble, and it goes up until it gets to heaven. Heaven is a magical land far far away, where good deeds are rewarded, and hymns are sung pretty much nonstop. When the atheist's soul gets there, all the church people's souls will play pranks on him and the hazing will be horrendous. All the while the sound of hymns from every window and from behind every bush. This will go on throughout eternity, and there is a big sign on main street that proclaims: "Boredom is a virtue."

Well lets think of this logically. If an Atheist does not believe in a Supreme Being or after-life or anything like that, if the Atheist are right, than, absolutly nothing. When we die, we die, thats it.

the soul is based on your morals, emotions and how you treat others, sadly these are as I believe on your upbringing and most importantly the way you would like to be treated yourself so you treat people based on this theory, your soul is in you and when you die so does your soul, but upside is that as you may understand that your (soul) thoughts, ways of expression, thinking and the way you treat others lives on to your living family and friends. I am not atheist but I think this is what you should think about, it goes with you but still lives on Thur your...........

If your an atheist you belive that the soul goes nowhere. So techically the answer to your question (which seen as how we cant talk to souls of the dead to make sure) would be that it goes nowhere.

I believe if he is a good person he/she will be born as a pet dog /cat etc which enjoy good life but have no thought of God. if he/she is bad then they will be born as a tree which can neither move nor think or talk. In short will be reborn according to the act performed in this life
