.30/06 from any manufacturer. I perfer Remington, but any of the others make a VERY good firearm.
A 12 gauge isn't a rifle, daisy. It's a shotgun. HUGE difference.

For whitetail deer, I have a Remington Model 7 .308. It all depends on what you're hunting. Tell us what you're hunting and you might get a more informative answer.

I prefer a 22 mag hollow point .it's a good kill gun if used corectly.it will kill a deer or hog . but you need to be a good shot. I know it will kill deer's & hog because that's what I use before season opens. it sound's like a hunter hunting small game.
