He has been in training in the Army since the beginning of July. We are both 20 and have an 8 month old daughter. He will be arriving around the 24th of October (graduates training the 23rd), and I will be going to pick him up from the bus station or airport alone(he still doesn't know which form of transp. he wants to take). I would really like to do something nice for him or surprise him in some way.. But chalk it up to "mommy brain" for leaving me with a complete blank! Should it be late and we have to get a hotel or stay overnight, my mother will be staying with the baby so preparations have been discussed for that possibility. Any ideas on what we can do or I can do for him? Either when he arrives or after he is settled - to celebrate?

1) Do stay in a completely quiet place on his first night at home. Let him see his baby for a few minutes, but then let grandma take the baby away so you and your husband can have some serious quality time in bed together.

2) Wherever you two end up for staying for his first night back, make sure you have some of his favorite things awaiting him, for example, one or two bottles of his favorite soft drink (since you are too young to drink). He'll want comfort food. You have to know what he loves to eat. Give it to him. Just don't let him eat too much or you won't get around to making love...he'll just fall asleep from stuffing his face. Remember, he's been in Army training and they don't get a lot of sleep!

3) Tell him how proud you are of him! Simple words go a long way.

4) Listen carefully to what he says to you. Don't talk him to death unless he asks you questions. Pay special attention to things he has learned in training. He may have new habits you'll have to adjust to. Be respectful of those habits and his new likes and dislikes (if he has any).

5) Of course, he will have just come back from Army training, so he might be a neat freak now. Get your home, garden and vehicles ready for spot inspection. He'll appreciate that.

Hi friend first of all buy yourself a very sexy clothes if he likes it otherwise just wear something you look gorgeous.
Forget about taking him outside something because he 'll be tired and he has missed home so much. Clean the house well decorate it with flowers lots of flowers. Make your home look beautiful. For the first day don't send your baby away because don't forget he is the DAD he'll want to meet the whole family. Just ask your Mum if she can stay at your place for the 1st day to look after the baby.If this could be done it would be marvellous
Then, prepare his favourite dish accompanied with a very nice dessert. He has missed your food for so many days. Get ready to cook it well. If he likes champagne why not. And i think a welcome cake at last, will be terrific. No family please just you and him. And you know the end how should it end. Buy new underwear red ones. You should make love with as you have never done before. The rest depends on you my friend. Love is the biggest gift. Good luck happy wedding life Dear

He's really gonna have the sex on the brain. Sorry that's just the way guys are. I'd suggest getting it out of the way as soon as possible. ( a little teasing won't hurt) A nice hotel near the airport or bus station. Get the sex out of the way, (and his long nap afterwards) and the rest of the evening is to get to know each other again!

Then have let him see friends they next day and through the week, then, the surprise party Friday nite.

Most guys will answer with S** cause soldiers are real S** hungers. I would suggest arrange a short trip to some place of relaxation where both can have a good time together and probably a candle light dinner. It would be the most memorable one. Just a simple trip that is not so taxing both physically on the arrangement and monetarily. Enjoy......

well one idea is to hang a sighn and invite some of your most closest friends and part of his family if you want. then get some silly string and party poopers and when he comes in threw the door your friends will supprise him and he has been away for a ling time and i bet his back is sore so take him to a chinese back masage and this will be good for him. another gift idea get him somthing that he alwase wanted, if you dont know what this is you can try option 1 or ask him. option 2 take him on a romantic dinner allong with the masage.

When my little sister came back from Iraq we threw her a family party the following weekend to give her time to recoop. Nothing over the top that would spaz her out, just a small get together at a park. She really enjoyed it. As for what you can personally do........what I would do is give him anything he wants if you know what I mean.

When you pick him up say you are going home, there is some construction so you are taking a detour... and then take him to his favorite restaurant and have a romantic dinner.
