Everyone keeps telling me that I need to watch what I'm eating and to make sure I'm only eating healthy food. I do eat a lot of fruit and I'm taking my prenatal vitamins, but honestly, I am not thinking about eating health food, just something I might be able to keep down for longer than two minutes. Should I be concerned? I've lost about 15 lbs and am continuing to lose weight. I'm not eating absolutely horrible, but chicken nuggest sound good often and they seem to be the only protein I can keep down. My next appointment with my dr. is in early November and I think if I'm still this sick I'm going to ask for anti-nausea pills. She asked me if I wanted them last time I was there, but I thought I would try to ride it out.

I was at a healthy weight before I got pregnant. I'm not at a crazy low weight now though, I guess my concern more is for the baby and making sure it is getting all the healthy nutrients in needs.

You are doing well, considering the nausea you are dealing with.
It's good to eat losts of fresh raw fruits and vegetables if you can.
Right now the struggle is to keep you both alive.
Chicken nuggets are really not a bad thing to eat. After all it is white breast meat, which is healthy.
Eat whatever it takes.
Be careful of the weight loss though.
Make sure you are not dehydrated, that will make the nausea worse.
Bio XII tissue salts taken according to label directions will help to ensure you have the right electrolyte balance in your body.
They are trace minerals and can be purchased at a health food store.
My daughter was so sick with her pregnancy, but did much better when she remembered to take her Bio XII.

I spent the first few months of my pregnancy eating wheat thins and burger king chicken sandwiches with no mayo cuz I just threw up everything else. the anti-nausea pills didn't do crap for me. I lost some weight in the beginning but then put it back on later and I'm a proud mommy of a healthy normal baby boy. Honestly, people like to get on pregnant women's cases about everything. Food's a big one too, there's a million things you either can't eat or have to eat or else. But really don't be too concerned with a super healthy diet when the morning sickness is really bad because if you don't keep it down it doesn't do any good any way. Just make sure you take your prenatals (even though those can make you pretty nauseus too). You'll be fine! good luck and god bless

There are a few anti-nausea medications but the side-effects are not completely known. If you doctor feels that your weight loss is alarming and prescribes them though, it may be best as your health is important for a healthy pregnancy
You seem to have made it thru 14 weeks, in a couple weeks your symptoms should improve.
Your actual weight today is a more importnat factor than the weight you've lost. If you were at a healthy weight at the start of pregnancy you do not have to be concerned. I know your miserable, but look at this as just one more of those discomforts of pregnancy that no one talks about. You will soon discover there are others. (Sounds like this is your first pregnancy.)

I wouldn't worry too much about it hun. I was sick for my first three months of pregnancy and couldn't keep a thing down except jello and crackers. I lost a lot of weight at first, but my doctor reassured me that there was nothing wrong with that. In fact, it's pretty common! Nausea in early pregnancy is so normal that MANY women lose weight in their first few months. Don't swear it. Talk to your doctor at your next appointment for reassurance, and ask for those pills if you think that they'll help. I've heard of some people using them and having them work wonderfully, and for some they didn't work at all. Congratulations! I hope the rest of your pregnancy is smooth sailing!

Hi Serena,
Try soda crackers this is what I ate every morning for 5 months sometimes all morning (with all 4 of them). I suggest you try soft boiled eggs, drink lots of mlk. You can always ask your OB if you are concerned about gaining to much weight. When the cravings start eat whatever you like, but becareful of spicy foods. I hope your morning sickness doesn't last to long & have a good day!

Since WHEN is chicken nuggets protien? If you're buying them at McDonald's they are nothing but fat. You might want to try weak tea with honey and melba toast or saltine crackers, thy sometimes help the yucky tummy syndrome. If I were you I would call the doctor now and request the anti nausea pills.

Your body will naturally give the nutrients you get to the baby first, then you. Your Dr. will phone a prescription into the local pharmacy if you ask him to, couldn't make it worse, that's for sure. By the way, you probably won't get pills, you'll get super fun suppositories, lol.

Eat what you can. The morning sickness will pass and you can watch what you eat then. It is better to eat the things you can keep down now than eat nothing at all. Congrats!
