Years ago, there was a TV commercial that featured The Club, and the idea I got was that they wanted to make it sound secure and tough and associate it with law enforcement, so they named it that way to remind people of a Policeman's Nightstick...hence the name "The Club."

I agree that most steering wheel clubs are useless because if a theif wants your car bad enough, he/she is going to whatever it takes to get it and that includes using a hacksaw to cut the steering wheel and throw the club out the window. Your best bet is to not drive a car that is on the top 10 most stolen cars. I like to use a hidden, very well hidden and inconspicuous, kill switch so the vehicle won't start unless the switch is activated.

Well, I would 'guess' because if you had a super nice car that you owned and most car thieves would like to steal......and it was parked someplace with 'the club' across the steering wheel, they could see they had 0 chance of stealing it! BUT maybe as one of them sees you coming back to your car and you were taking it off, and they approached you and tried to steal your car, wallet or purse, that you could take that heavy thing and **CLUB** them with it across the head. Suddenly all is well right?? All thanks to "The Club".

When you are driving it is not on your steering wheel of course.

And if you live in a high crime area you leave it on the seat next to you so that if someone tries to hijack your car you grab it and

"CLUB" THE DOG DUKEY OUT OF THEM WITH IT.

Because it doubles as a beating stick for cases of road rage and self defence. You ever been hit with a 3 food steel bar??? I would call that a club.
