When our life itself depends on the transpiration of plants, are they really "other"?

That should read "Do we define our selves by what we define as 'other'". Apologies for the confusion! The other point is how "other" are trees etc when we depend on their transpiration process for the oxygen we breathe.

Oh, something beyond logical, is trying to 'peep' into you, and out of the 'you' ... ! Recognition of interdependence is the first step towards the Ultimate freedom !
Very true, in SO MANY WAYS, we are part of each other... the air we breathe in has seen the inside of so many lungs too ! With so much of 're-cycling' , ........ even the chemistry is just a different combination of very same materials !
It is enough to maintain our individualistic identities a bit restricted, to just afford a better performance & functional capability, than to deprive ourselves the joy of experiential awareness of oneness with everything around !

We define ourselves to a ingredient. yet we require very a super number of interplay with others with the intention to have healthful, effective lives and a very-progressed sense of self. And in a society the place anybody's lives have become a becoming form of insular (in simple terms approximately agoraphobic, actual), I word we are finding lots of guy-made technological substitutes for valid social interplay. First it become radio, then television. Now it quite is iPods, cellular telephones, internet (Yahoo solutions, absolutely everyone?), gaming consoles. i've got been noticing the style of anti-social habit in myself at the instant and attempting to get out greater in lots of cases. Even in simple terms going to a bar as quickly as a week or so and excellent up a communication with somebody i don't know. it quite is totally healing.

Are you talking about oxygen coming from plants while the plants absorb the carbon dioxide we exhale? And inhale the plant's release of oxygen ?
