sounds like he's at the end of his rope and it would just be easier all around if she didn't come home. Don't think he's wishing anything bad on the wife but sounds like they better be doing some serious talking or somebodies walking.

Sounds as though he stopped loving her and wants her gone. He could be just saying that because things are not the greatest in the home.
