ok...well what is planned parenthood? I mean I guess I should know, but that's why im asking. If I have sex, I want to be safe about it. However, I can't talk to my mother about this. I find that difficult. And I don't know how to go without her knowing.

It think she should be at least 16.

Planned parenthood clinics are clinics that provide education, condoms and other types of contraceptive to women and girls. In case of a pregnancy, they also provide prenatal and postnatal care to the mother and her baby.

Just don't have sex until you are ready. Believe me you have plenty of time and it is not as fun as everyone says it is. Even on birth control and using condoms, there is still a chance of becoming pregnant. Do you really want to take that risk? If you did get pregnant, can you tell your parents? Do you know if you are going to keep the baby? If you get pregnant and have a baby, you will no longer be the same person you are today. Think about these questions before having sex.

Depending on where you are, your local clinic or Planned Parenthood should be fine. Actually it's your medical information and you should be able to go to your doctor and ask for whatever without it being divulged to anyone. Dr/Patient privilege and confidentiality. Probably 16 is the minimum I would imagine after or instead. Dont' forget the condoms too!

you have to be at least 12 or 13 because thats the age when most girls start their periods, but at that age, you shouldnt be having sex. birth control also helps regulate periods. i go to planned parenthood for birth control. my parents dont know i go there because i drive myself there. you'll need a person to drive you there (unless you know how to drive) who wont tell your parents. everything at planned parenthood is confidential, so even if your parents went in there with a lawyer and a gun they (by law) cant tell your parents that you are a patient there. hope this helps! :D
