"Big Brother China" is watching over NK. US cannot even think of pissing off the Chicoms. Multi billion dollar trade deficit between US and China in China's favor. NK will have to actually shoot a nuke at Japan or the US before Chicoms will relent to military action. At this point China keeps NK at a limited arms length because they don't want the relationship to turn into that of Russia-Cuba. NK can't feed itself and is of no real benefit to China.
This is the main reason UN-US hasn't attacked NK although there was more real reason to do so under the pretenses used to attack Iraq, eg: weapons of mass destruction in the hands of a rogue state.
Then of course there is the oil issue. You can figure that out for yourself.

I think it was a good idea going into Iraq, I just don't think we should be over there more than 5 years. Kim in NK is an example of what would have happened with Saddam eventually if we did not go in there and stop their weapons stockpiling. And we did NOT go to Iraq for oil. We first went there over 10 years ago and have never gained control of the oil. If we wanted, we would have it by now and nobody could stop us. Bush wants 5 or 6 other countries to be in agreement with us before we go to NK and tell Kim sanctions will be imposed unless you stop housing those nukes.

I doubt he'd want to commit another snafu(mistake) like Iraq and charge without ALL the Facts and approval of the UN-besides its becoming more apparent that the nuclear test may have been a failure-also Iraq didn't have any strong allies that could cause searious economic difficulties and perhaps even more , North Korea has a strong ally in China

Agree...iraq ppl likes to kill each other and have susicide attacks, so let it be. North Korea seems more like a threat to us North Americans

There is no oil in North Korea so no incetive for US to attack.

Also despite what is happening in NK, the US would have no right to invade. They are not the world police. We have other insitutions like the UN to handle that sort of situation.

The better question is "What's wrong with "our" people.

I am a substitute teacher in a U.S. public school system that is a "sister" city with a Chinese city. Our public school system here just hosted a week-long delegation of Chinese teachers and students. The students were placed in "American" homes, the teachers were ensconced in a local hotel. The city I live in has a Chinese school, taught by teachers who have been given visas into the United States, and have access to all public facilities, and are invited into many private, American venues.

I attended a Chinese presentation at one of our public schools. The presenters were in the U.S. on visas granted by the U.S. Their visual presentation represented China in ancient Chinese dynasties. When I asked questions about their current philosophy concerning politics and education, the presenters became hostile, attempting to defend their country's political stance.

It is no coincidence that many products in the U.S. are marked "Made in China". Perhaps that will be the "mark of the beast". What does "666" denote in China?

Riddle me this. China is politically a Communist nation, supporting North Korea. What U.S. governmental agency is allowing the Chinese to infiltrate our schools?

Because China is Korea's "big brother". Everyone around Saddam hated him, so he was easy pickings at the time. We needed to kick some *** after 9-11 and they were an easy target. Or so we thought.

Brilliant observation....

The reality is, Iraq has oil.... N. Korea has starving people. Which commodity is more valuable to a right wing neo-con republican?

There's your answer.
