ditto. gave you a thumbs up for that one. what ever happened to skipping your homework partying and getting average grades on testing.

There are too many trying to get everyone else to do their homework. So . . . when you answer -- provide them with the tools -- other web sites -- and put it in language they can understand when you do respond.

My hope is that some of them will use the tools now and in the future -- I want them to feel empowered just knowing they can figure things out if they try.

I noticed that too, but I think it's okay for students to ask for help when they need help.

Problem is that people just give out the answers without explaining anything. For math problems, I've tried to explain the rules and even state the formulas, but I left the students to take the next steps. I hope others provide more help than answers.

and what's really wrong with that? they have to learn the material somewhere. its not like they are asking you to do the entire assignment, just some help on parts they don't understand.
