Yes. It would be the right gesture to show Europeans that Turkey as the former Ottoman Empire regrets the atrocities it committed in Eastern Europe for 100's of years in the recent past.
I don't understand Turkey's belligerence especially now they want admittance to the European Union.

It's only a taboo subject because the Turks have made it so and people always think of jews when they hear about Holocaust but the Armenian one was first.
