But it probably means that you like this person, and have been thinking about this person for some time.

I seriously doubt it. I would think that it meant more like you're feeling secure, or comfortable about something that's going on in your life. Hence, being comforted with a hug.....
Or maybe you need to "be" comforted about something.
I know enough about dreams to know that it doesn't mean the person hates you. It probably has nothing to do with the person who hugged you in the dream. Look deeper into the dream, and then place it around certain events going on in your life right now, and you might be able to put it together..

I actually had a similar dream about an abusive bosslady that I couldn't stand....that she was hugging me and kidding around with me in an affectionate manner...it woke me up and for a time I was upset...but then I realised that it was simply my subconscious wishing she'd lighten up instead of being such a bad mouthing, screaming, cussing, tantrum throwing, abusive boss. Our dreams can mean many things but in this case it was just expressing an inner need for outer peace. I hope that helps.

You need to go to a bookstore, look it up in a dream dictionary.
To me, I think you like this person very much and think of him/her most of the time. That image is so inprint in your mind that it comes in your dream. Think of something else, see what happens next. Happy dreaming.

the memory of being hugged could give you a sense of wanting to be hugged, or not being hugged....listen to your inner self and ask if you like being hugged or dislike it.....if you want the hug look for someone close to you and get your hug...it is a good feeling and healthy.....
