Which do you find more appealing? (yes this is an appropriate question)?

I've noticed new designs this fall, and one of them are giant big, sack bags. (Chanel) I was going to buy a bag myself, but I was skeptical if this style would be one of those timless pieces, or the ones that just fly out the door in the spring. Though they can hold more. Do you find a clutch more convenient, with it's small feminine size, or a big bag, great for carrying all that stuff?

I say don't follow the mainstream style networks - I think the really big bags are obnoxious looking, but that's just me! Go with what style fits your needs, your own style and flaunt it!!!

Quite honestly, I love a good Chanel. Wonderful brand. However, I always find myself with extera space in the big sac bags. So here's my tip. Buy one of the bags AND a clutch. The bags are good for daytime, while carrying around work and everything else. Clutches are great for evening events when you need to look more feminine. I hope this helps.

I'm all about the big bag. One, b/c I have a two year old and I can double it as a diaper bag, plus have my stuff in it too so I'm not lugging around two bags. I can also fit lots of stuff into it. Big bags never go out of style. And as long as the bag isn't bigger than your are, it looks good on your shoulder too. And when I go shopping, I can even put what I bought in my bag instead of getting yet another plastic bag. But it's all in what you find appealing. Good luck!

I think that style will be out soon.(However I have carried a bigger bag since HS, and still do 80% of the time, because I put everything I'll need for the day in it)

I would go for something inbetween, a clutch is too small (and usually to fancy) for day use. (At least for me anyhow.)

each bag depends on what the occassion is or time of day..for everyday outings i say the big bag is great! not only is it stylish, trendy, it can hold all your necessities and will definately be a classic. a clutch is more for a night out on the town carrying only a few items needed for the night...both are great though!

LOL - I (from watching my g/f) find that the bigger the bag the more "stuff" inside it and the less useful it is. She lost some very important things in a large bag (they fell out or were pulled out with something else). Also the smaller purse / bag allows her to leave it on the table or seat when we go out dancing...easier to "stash" than a large bag.

Big is great!! The style of big bag might change but if you get something simple and not crazy colors, then yeah it'll always be in fashion. Or if not you can always use it for a beach bag. But I have a feeling it'll be in for a long time, plu syou can use it instead of a briefcase or backpack

when I carry a big bag I feel like my grandmother! I definitely prefer a smaller bag or clutch, but then again I am only 5'0" so it would look ridiculous on me! I think you have to stay size proportionate and then you will look great!

those styles will come and go.. also a big bag like that leaves you to stuff more junk in it. and you end up looking like the little loss hobo wiht everything but the kitchen sink , and they dont look nice when your going out someplace elegant.

So if you want it get it for fun bumming around days.

but get another purse thats suitable for where your going. that big bag your limited where to go with it. won't suit most occasions

I absolutely adore Chanel bags. To me, you can never go wrong with Chanel. If you have no budget definately go for Chanel if not go for one of Coach's more traditional pieces rather than their limited edition bags.
