a pedicure is about $25.00 and you can take her out to eat .I know its real simple but with $50.00 theres not a lot you can do ... honestly .

Buy her a gift certificate for a massage. Might run more than 50, but pre-natal massages are so relaxing.
OR.
I know I would love to have a day of pampering. Where I didn't have to do dishes or clean at all. Pick up around the house, pick-up some great carry-out, a dessert she likes and a movie that SHE enjoys (yes, maybe even a chick flick) and give her a back-rub/foot-rub without any complaints.
Honestly, my dear...she probably just wants to hear how beautiful she is and how much she is loved, etc...every woman wants to feel that loved.
But something as simple as picking up a favorite food and having a day to relax is SO nice.
Flowers wouldn't hurt, either. But men should get their wives flowers "just because" anyway. ;)

I'll tell you, with every pregnancy I thought I deserved diamonds (it was hard!) but when it came right down to spending the money on diamond earrings I just couldn't justify it. My husband got me a really nice pair of fake diamond earrings from Macy's and I totally loved them. They were goregous and if I lost one I wouldn't cry - and we could spend real money on our kids and house, etc. I think they cost about $40 for a nice pair of 3/4 karat size.
Peace!
PS - sorry, I didn't see the no jewelry comment until after, but really I still stand by this. When I was pregnant I really didn't want anything. I was uncomfortable and didn't really want to go anywhere - particularly with my 2nd - and I felt like stuff for me could just wait until I got my body back. But I could wear those earrings everyday and not mess with them and it made me feel special and "rewarded" for my effort. They really looked real without the worry and guilt - the best!

A nice piece of jewelry. I'm sure you can find a nice bracelet or something close to your price range. You need to get her something that is personal and just for her... not the baby. Good luck and congratulations on your new arrival

I am sure she will love anything you get her.....I would suggest a manicure, pedicure, or a massage. You can usually get a pedicure and manicure for around $50. Massages then to be more expensive. You could take her to her favorite restaurant for a intimate meal ---just you and her. She is sure to love anything that gives her pampering for a day...I am sure she could use being pregnant.
Hope she has a Happy Birthday!

how about a Bebe sounds heart monitor that you both can hear her baby's heart beat, hiccup, kicks/moves and nutrients being passed on? its like 19.99 at wal-mart, k-mart, and target. that is an awesome present that you can cherish until your baby is born. you can also record and email the sounds you retreive to friends/family through email.
if not, maybe get her something to show her how much you appreciate her (for being your wife and for carrying her baby)...a gift certificate to a day spa or something along the lines of de-stressing a woman can be very effective
either way...good luck!

Get her a birthstone necklace set in silver. It's pretty and it's not likely to have adverse reactions due to her pregnancy. Oh yeah, and they're like thirty bucks so throw in some earings

HANDS DOWN BEST GIFT at this point....a pedicure. I know it sounds kind of dumb to 'go get your toes painted' but they also do a whole massage and everything else...it would be perfect for a pregnant woman. I'm sure she will be impressed!
