Every answer I read is lousy, without a specific cc or gr and included some bad advice. It is far from true that is does not grow with age after 40 years old. All those supposedly symptoms like urine frequency and others are completely false. There may be no symptoms depending on the direction it is growing and if inward growth those symptoms could appear when the prostrate is still relatively small, like a walnut. A male over 40 should not only periodically have the PSA checked but should also have the volume of the prostate checked. The doctor should advise you when it is getting to be a problem even if you have no symptoms but when it reaches about 80cc that is fairly big and needs serious attention.

You have a condition known as Benign Prostate Hypertrophy. It is very common for men 40 and over. There is a test, PSA, that determines how severe the condition is. Also, health care providers use that test to rule out (or in) prostate cancer. In either case, the patient requires treatment. BPH might be treated with a minor outpatient surgery known as.TURP (Transurethal Resection Procedure).

As for frequent ejaculation, go for it if you are comfortable enough. There is controversy among health care providers in urology if indeed frequent ejaculation promotes good prostate health. One professor informed me that, yes, it can help in prevention of prostate cancer. On the other hand, 80% of men over 80 are diagnosed with prostate cancer.

You need to see a urologist regarding your symptoms. It is important to find out why the prostate is enlarged. Good luck.

My husband had prostate enlargement and the dr told him that more sex didn't make any difference. Keep on checking on your psa level in your blood count. If it keeps going up, you have to keep getting biopsies. There are things that can be done to control your problem.
Keep in contact with your urologist. Good luck.

Yeah, 3x a day 4x on Sat & 1x ONLY on Sun.

If that was the way to go, we would have the answer in the PALM of of own hand.

Ageing only goes foward, keep the PSA test #'s and have that favorite test. George Eastman NEVER thought his cameras would go there.

Or only when he was mad at someone??

Drink lots of cranberry juice and water, avoid alcohol and coffee. Make sure you urinate regulary. Don't ride a bycicle. My doctor told me to have lots of sex. By the way, you really should go for an annual checkup. Ejaculation isn't going to help you one bit, if you have cancer.
