ok first of all my friend she is an ok friend and she lieves far from me so we cant go to the dance class together we have thought about it tho

and also if i ever become a cheerleader i will not be the really preppy kinds cuz thats more of my friends presonality(we are like almost nothing alike)

then also about the same friend..she is nice but it seems to me that she cares more about popularity and she has soooo many friends and i dont but we are really good friends and without her i would have even less friends but some of her friends dont like me so i dont know what i should do

OKAy-take it from someone who was popular all through JH and HS-its WAYYY overated! I didn't see your 1st 2 questions, but you don't need a 'friend' to validate what you want to do. If you're really feeling the dance class, by all means, DO IT! Don't wait for your friend to be interested 1st. Your friend may even respect you more for taking the initiative-and she may follow YOU!

And if you become a cheerleader-you are part of a collective-not an individual(except for whether you want to wear a side or top ponytail) so don't worry about being preppy or not...and I'll give you a quote I read a long time ago:

Real friends are like diamonds, precious and rare.
Fake friends are like autumn leaves, found everywhere!

If your 'friend' cares more about popularity and surrounds herself with a clique-then she's actually feeling some of her own issues regarding her self esteem and keeps them around to build herself up-while maybe putting you down. Needless to say-you need to re-examine the reason why you are her friend...

Life in high school is tough and I can see your dilemma. There are a few questions that I'd like to ask you: would you like to be a cheerleader? Do you get along well with your friend or you're friends just because she's more popular?

Now, if you do like cheer-leading than go for it with or without your friend. If you don't than don't do it just because your friend does it because you'll end up hating it. Don't do something just because your friend does unless you like it too.

Being popular could sound like a cool thing but having friends is even more important. So, are you looking for a true friend or for popularity? I'm not saying that you should give up your friends and acquaintances. But, for your own good you need to choose your friends wisely. The real ones are the ones who are going to stay by you when you'll need them. If your friend is one of the good kinds that remain friends. If not, keep being nice to each other but don't do cheer-leading because she does it.

From your question I don't feel like you like your friend that much. You're stressing her negative traits instead of her strengths. Think about your friendship. Love her but be yourself! It's the only way in which you'll be happy.

You're the one who has to decide on this because it's a personal matter but please consider your feelings. Write down on a piece of paper the pros and cons of your going to cheer-leading and decide after you can't find any more reasons. You'll know the answer by then if you don't know it already. It actually seems to me that you know it right now but it's a hard decision to make. Just go for your dreams and follow your feelings!

Be happy and good luck. Whatever you choose, put all your heart into it. If you don't feel like it than it's not worth it!
