Hey your in luck...well sort of. My husband is a mechanic for a GM dealership...here is what he said. It is illegal to disconnect. There is no fuse for the new ones. It is wired in to the computer in the truck. There is more...if you have On-Star they can tell if you cut the wire. And if you don't and something malfunctions on the truck, you take it in. It is noted in the system and sent to GM. He said don't do it...
If you live in Indiana you don't have to wear a seat belt in a truck, they couldn't get it to pass. You only have to wear them in cars and commercial vehicles. Not sure about other states.
I only drive a truck so I don't have to wear one...but my kids do.

Well, by wearing your seatbelt I'm sure. But, if it is your inclination not to do so, just buckle your seatbelt before getting into the car. Since your truck is so new, I'm sure you're not talking about a malfunction.

If I told you I'd be breaking the law.
Don't try it.
Instead, talk to a trooper and get his feel for how many fools he has seen go through the windshield!
man, that glass has a way of shredding your face and torso, and that impact with the ground is murderous!
Ya really want to know, or are you just taking an ego trip with the new auto, doing a bit of bragging. . . .
