I liked a lot of somewhat older country music...ie Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson...but the newer country music coming out now has too much of a pop sound with a country vocal. I don't think it mixes. At least if the country music sounded like country I would respect it more. It's trying to be something it isn't.

because your ears -- or what's between them -- aren't tuned to country music.

some people would ask the same question about Rap...

...or Rock

...or Metal

...or Pop

...or.............okay you get the idea.

so, if some people didn't enjoy Country music, you wouldn't hear EVER hear it.

do you enjoy when people say the music YOU listen to is "absolutely wretched sounding"?

i sure there are some that do say that!

Country music is NOT my favorite, but i don't mind it either.

if you occasionally listen to other types of music, and learn to appreciate it for what it is, it just makes YOUR favorite music seem even better!

it's kinda like ice cream.

different people like different flavors.

just because you find one that YOU don't like, doesn't mean it's BAD.

but unlike ice cream, you don't have to eat it, to taste it.

you can't avoid occasionally overhearing someone else listening to it.

GET USED TO IT!

that happens in life. it won't always be YOUR WAY.

try to put yourself in situations where things are the way you like them to be, when you can.

but when you can't, be tolerant of others.

i'm certain there have many people around you,
who have been tolerant of you......pass it on.

'Cause they continually twine country, pop and rap together and it sounds awful.

Brian N has a good answer.

Because they overuse that damn steel guitar. It's a neat instrument, but country uses it in an obnoxious way...
