Hi I work at a Pet Resort. There are a few sprays that do work but I find Bitter Apple works the best. It is sold in most major pet stores. If you see them chewing on something you should give them a stern no, spray the object with the spray you have chosen. In respect with animals a stern no works the best, you should never yell no, just make the pitch of your voice deeper and they will get it. It may take awhile but they will get it. When they start chewing on something that they are allowed you should also reward them with a high pitch in your voice and some petting.

You are the "ruler" over your dog and he recognizes it. If he looks you in the eye, he's trying to have a staring match to see who is stronger. Oh, and by the way, he did pee in your shoes...he's probably trying to hide that to.
