The Britannic didn't have one death... during the sinking. Two lifeboats were lowered by the automatic release gear, unbeknown to the officer in charge of those boats, and they eventually were sucked into the spinning propellors, and the engines stopped just as a third boat was about to be sliced and diced. Other passengers died on the rescue ships, probably due to injuries they'd been treated for on the Britannic.

So, more than one soul was lossed due to the disaster, and the Britannic sank in 52 minutes, about a third of the time Titanic took to sink.

Research has now shown that the Titanic actually broke in two. and the 2 halves sunk fast than just a hole. The Britannia also had adequate life boats and life jackets. Its hold didn't go completely through the inner shell.

Could it be that the Britannic had the required amount of life boats?...more notice of what happened so they had more time to prepare for the sinking?...better rescue response system?
These are just my guesses.
