I suppose your parents could sue each other for custody but then the judge would probably ask you where you want to live anyway.

what? why would anyone get sued? i don't get it. no one can get sued if you simply want to live with your dad. just go live with him. what else is to the story? OR are you jsut simply an 11 year old who knows nothing about the legas system? don't worry, no one can get sued or even get in trouble for that matter if you wanna live with the other parent.

I am not sure of the legal arrangements that your parents have made.....But just make sure that you are requesting to live with your father for the right reason. Is your mother mistreating you or are you just upset with her about some things. What will you do if he makes you upset while living with him? Just do what's best for you long term and not what's best for the moment.

No one will get sued, but there might be a family court hearing. Don't worry about it though.

It would be according to what the laws are in your state. Generally the only suits would be by one or the other parent for child support and/or visitation.

your mom might want to sue your father but at the end the judge will ask where you want to go because both parents have a right of keeping you unless they obuse.

no to sue someone you have to prove liability(who is responsible) and damages (injury damage to property etc.) he is safe from legal action if you ask to live with him.
