I'm curious also about how many are planning to vote for other parties... or for write-in candidates. Ten points will be given.

Yes I would. I wish they had a NOTA on the ballots, meaning, None Of The Above. I'd personally vote NOTA, due to the corruption and greediness of those already in office. I intend to vote, but doubt it will make a difference, due to the electoral college. IT IS NO LONGER GOVENMENT RULE, BY THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE.

Well, here in Delaware it's pretty tough. Incumbents always win and we only have three Federal delegates anyway. As for voting along party line; It's hard not to over here. It's either red or blue. We really don't get any Independents on the ballot. So what it comes down to over here in the Diamond State is candidate issues, i.e. party issues, i.e. media talking points.
As for specifics: The only race we really have up in the air is for the state Attorney General, and maybe our Federal State Representative. And the only reason Rep. Castle might not win is because he recently suffered from two minor strokes. (And that's the deciding factor for me. I want someone who can do the job, not someone who's supposed to limit his stress levels.)
But the AG race is all about party talking points, so I tend to take into account the broader picture and look at what each party stands for. Am I going to benefit from this person's election? Are they going to do anything for ME? Will I feel safer with Joe Schmoe, or Harry Shmarry? Will I have more money in pocket? Will my son get a better education with Party A or Party B holding the purse strings?
But inevitable, I don't really choose until that curtain closes behind me and that list of names is put in front of me.

The other choices stand no chance of winning most races. Its time for election reform to allow third party candidates equal chances at offices other than Dems or Republicans. Same tired choices.

I think it is called independent voting which, if the candidate is in tune with my beliefs, I would be more likely to vote for them. However, we all must remember that what we are told may not be what is true. The problem with our trying to figure it all out is that they have so much more knowledge then we do, about what they are up against. None of us know what they are really thinking and doing with our lives. So then I ask you, how we can vote for whomever?

I'd like to have better Supreme Court Justices. Because of the current set of crooks up there I don't vote at all --- any more.
