I believe not. The only time the non custodial can lower his payment for child support is if his income is greatly reduced, not yours. I cannot say for sure, but it sure sounds fishy to me.

Child support is determined by the paying parents income. The only way they could change it is if his income situation changes.

Alimony or spousal support could depend on both parties income. If the person receiving the alimony income increases substantially then it could lower the alimony payment.

If the non custodial parent request that the child support be lowered it is based on the non custodial parents income. Not the parent who has custody

Most of the time if you go on disability the children will also receive a check from you disability and the mother has to settle for that because you are not able to work, but you need to really check this out, cause that's the way it use to be.

im in australia so i dont know how much help i will be but over here that would be skipping out your respnsibilties and the custodial parent can get the alimony office to take it out of their bank before they could get their money: at least thats how my mother had to do it

im sorry if i wasnt much help but good luck

(personally i'd just kick his *** and break his arms and legs until he changed his mind- of course youd need a witness to cover for you- lol im sorry im just being a ***** now)

He is entitled to be heard if he wants to lower his support. In some cases it CAN be lowered. I didn't know alimony was still awarded though. Most states have abolished alimony.

his child support is based almost solely on his income and should not change no matter how much money you make or where it comes from.
