Did it once, I got a free dinner out of it, and mileage. Didn't get anything else. If they ask you for money to do it they are a fraud

I have done lots of mystery shopping, none of which I can mention.
But, most of the jobs I have done have not paid too much, between $10 and $25 for quick assignments.
They have higher paying mystery shops, but it all depends on your guidelines.
What you look like, your age, sex, height, weight, hair color, the town you live in, the kind of car you drive....all of that stuff matters.
They have specific requirements of who they want mystery shopping for them you know....
I can give you some good sites to sign up with.
DO NOT EVER SIGN UP WITH A MYSTERY SHOP THAT CHARGES YOU!
Those are all BS! They pay YOU remember......
Anyways, hope that helps, lemme know if you have any other questions or want those sites to go to.

I'm making tons of money doing it, and I just started in August. I love doing it. It's alot of fun and I can do it in my spare time...
Go to http://www.volition.com/mystery.html and there's a huge list of REAL mystery shopping companies. The rule of thumb I've found is NEVER pay a company to be a mystery shopper. The ones that ask for money are either scams or just aren't worth the money you'd pay them...
below are some of my favorite companies' links. ... Good luck

i have not tried mystery shopping, but i know it's real. however, it is just like any other job, so if they claim there is a small set up fee, it's a fraud.
good luck.
